About Solar PV Systems

If you’ve been interested in Solar PV systems but would like more information on how it works, below is a brief summary.

When the sun is out the sunlight shines onto the solar panels. From this DC electricity is generated in the panel which then travels to the inverter where it is converted into AC electricity. The converted AC electricity is the power we use to operate appliances and lights within the home. Any excess power generated that isn’t used from the solar system is fed back into the electricity grid for a credit against the home usage.
